Jordan Henderson has been singing the praises of new Liverpool signing Fabio Carvalho, and insists he can have a big impact for years to come.

Carvalho is one of a few new arrivals at Liverpool this summer. After shining for Fulham in the Championship, Carvalho has made the leap to Anfield and will hope to get chances to impress.

Of course, Liverpool losing Sadio Mane might open doors sooner rather than later. And captain Henderson, speaking to TalkSPORT, believes Carvalho can be a star.

“I can see why he did well at Fulham, you know, with his quality. He’s come in, settled in really well and looks at home to be honest.”

“Really good technically, great lad, you can see how much he wants to be a player, wants to improve and yeah, he’ll be a big addition this season. Not only this season but going forward in the future, he’ll be a big player but hopefully this season he can make a big impact and hit the ground running as well,” Henderson told TalkSPORT.

Carvalho will be hoping to get opportunities from Jurgen Klopp this season. Having seen how another ex-Fulham man in Harvey Elliott has done, Carvalho will hope to follow suit.

TBR’s View: Carvalho Can Do Well For Liverpool Quickly

There will be games this season where it’s probably not right for Carvalho to play. He still lacks experience and Liverpool is a bigger pond than at Fulham.

However, there’ll also be times when he can really settle in and play. Liverpool will beat – probably hammer – a lot of teams this season. And in those games, when they’re ahead comfortably, Carvalho can come on and shine, especially with the five subs.

Carvalho has clearly impressed Henderson too, so that’s half the battle as well really for a lot of new Liverpool players.
