Leeds United cruised to an impressive win at Watford today as they essentially sealed Premier League survival for another season.
The Whites are now nine points clear of the bottom three after goals from Rodrigo, Raphinha, and Jack Harrison ensured Jesse Marsch’s side once again took a big win. The victory was more than deserved, too, with Leeds the better side throughout the majority of the clash.
For Watford, it seems like they’re all but down and destined for another spell in the Championship. But for Leeds, they can now tentatively start planning for next season in the Premier League.

In terms of today’s performance, there were a number of excellent performances on display. And former Leeds defender, Jonathan Woodgate, felt a four players in white really put on a fine performance.
“The front four for Leeds are really impressive; Raphinha, Rodrigo, Harrison and James. They are on the front foot and they press to set the tone; the centre halves are pushing right up. As soon as Watford win the ball back, Leeds are all over them,” Woodgate said on the BBC.
That Leeds attacking quartet is going to be key for the club going forward. They are young enough to improve and continue to form a relationship. Of course, keeping Raphinha will be key to everything.
TBR’s View: Leeds Impressing Under Marsch
Life after Marcelo Bielsa threatened to be a nightmare for Leeds but Jesse Marsch deserves big credit for turning it around more or less straight away.
There have been some last gasp wins since Marsch took over but this one today felt different. Leeds dominated and probably could have scored even more. The clinical nature of Raphinha and Rodrigo helped, and Marsch will want to see more of that from his forwards in the future.
For once, Leeds fans can probably rest easy this weekend.
