‘Joke’: Some Palace fans can’t believe what Zaha did in training as 12-second footage emerges

Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing what Wilfried Zaha did in training earlier this week.

What’s the story?

Well, the footage – which Zaha uploaded to Instagram – showed the Ivory Coast international making one of his teammates look rather silly.

The ball can be seen dropping from the south London sky – nearly with snow on it given how high it went – before landing at Zaha’s feet.

There’s a matter of centimetres between the 28-year-old and the touchline, so any loose touch would surely run out of bounds.

However, Crystal Palace’s No.11 gets it spot on.

As you can see above, Zaha leaves his marker for dead, before surging up the pitch to attack the final third.

Big season for Wilfried Zaha

It’s no secret that Zaha wants to leave Selhurst Park.

Steve Parish has admitted to the BBC that he’s willing to discuss an exit with the Ivorian, if a suitable bid is made.

In that respect, it’s now down to Zaha to tempt clubs into bidding for him with an impressive 2021/22 campaign under Patrick Vieira.

As aforesaid, he’s now 28. If he fails to get his big move either this summer or next summer, he’ll be 30 when November 2022 rolls around.

In our view, few big clubs will spend heavily on a 30-year-old.

Nevertheless, let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter thought of his incredible touch in training…
