Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was announced that Bobby Clark had left Tyneside to join Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool also announced the deal on their official website, which sees the 16-year-old swap the Magpies for the Reds.
Clark is a very promising attacking midfielder, and has represented England at Under-16 level.
The teenager – son of ex-Newcastle player Lee Clark – will now link up with the other Academy players at Anfield, before trying to break into Jürgen Klopp’s first-team.
It’s a crushing blow for the Magpies. The wonderkid was regarded as arguably the best prospect in Newcastle’s Academy.
Now, Liverpool get to add him to their exciting crop containing the likes of Harvey Elliott, Kaide Gordon and Curtis Jones.
Newcastle and Liverpool couldn’t be more different

What exactly are Newcastle doing?
In all honesty, the club feels quite pointless right now. Mike Ashley won’t even invest money as he wants to sell the club.
Steve Bruce’s managerial ability is also questionable, and his style of football is absolutely painful to watch.
Now, with the cream of the Academy crop leaving too, you have to ask what Newcastle’s goals and ambitions are.

The Magpies aren’t standing still, they’re going backwards at an alarming rate.
If Ashley isn’t going to ensure signings arrive, the least he and Bruce must do is keep the exciting players already at the club.
Sadly, they have failed to do so.
Let’s see how the Newcastle fans on Twitter reacted after Clark joined Liverpool…
