Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Peter Crouch and Maya Jama interviewed LeBron James about the Reds.

What’s the story?

Well, judging by the comments below, James didn’t leave many fans too impressed by his interview on ‘Crouchy’s Year-Late Euros: Live‘.

The 36-year-old NBA star said: “I read about the franchise and how amazing it is, I actually made a trip over to Liverpool as well and seen all the sights and the arena, it was pretty unique.”

Now, we appreciate that James probably doesn’t have time to follow the Reds as religiously as some fans do.

Having said that, he didn’t really sound too clued up on things when speaking to Crouch and Jama.

Specifically, his reaction to hearing Jordan Henderson had scored for England was a bit strange.

James said: “I saw he was able to score one in the match the other day and I thought that was pretty unique the fact he would do that and will also be with Liverpool Football Club.”

We’re not quite sure what the part about Henderson still being with Liverpool means, in all honesty.

How much of Liverpool does LeBron James own?

As Goal document, James owns 2% of Liverpool, which he purchased back in 2011 for £4.9m.

It has turned out to be a phenomenal investment.

Thanks to Liverpool’s rise under Jürgen Klopp, his 2% stake is now worth £37m.

His reach across the sporting world is also a huge asset for Liverpool, in many ways.

Aside from Liverpool, James has his fingers in many pies, so he probably doesn’t have much time to keep up with the Reds.

In that respect, we’ll let him off for sounding a bit caught off guard when being quizzed on Liverpool by Crouch and Jama.

For now, let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to his comments…
