John Hartson reacts on Twitter as Leigh Griffiths leaves Celtic
John Hartson has taken to Twitter to wish Leigh Griffiths luck after the striker left Celtic on loan on transfer deadline day.
Griffiths has joined Dundee on loan for the rest of the campaign. It comes with the forward yet to feature for the Hoops under Ange Postecoglou.
In fact, he has only been included on the bench two times in all competitions.
It does appear that Griffiths’ time at Parkhead has come to an end. While he has joined The Dark Blues on loan, his contract with Celtic expires at the end of the campaign.
It is a sad way for the 31-year-old’s spell to end. In total, he scored 123 goals and provided 51 assists in 262 games for the Bhoys.
Unfortunately, the writing has been on the wall for a little while. He only found the back of the net seven times in all competitions last season.
And Hartson has now posted his reaction to the news announced on Tuesday – with the Welshman backing Griffiths to make a big impact for his new club…
Leigh Griffiths has joined Dundee on a 1 year loan deal.. we have seen the last of Leigh not sure he recaptured the form he showed whilst scoring for fun a few seasons ago.. over 100 goals is no mean feat .. he will continue scoring for Dundee. Good luck Griff.

Celtic moving Griffiths on makes sense for all parties
It really seemed like a move for Griffiths was needed for all parties. A fresh start should help both the striker and Celtic.
The Hoops will be hoping to strengthen their attacking ranks before the window shuts.
And moving Griffiths on may perhaps help free up space in the squad and on the wage bill to get that new signing through the door before the transfer deadline passes.
