West Ham United took on Arsenal yesterday and put in an excellent performance which would have been deserving of a win.
Unfortunately, they came up just short, with Eddie Nketiah’s late winner earning Arsenal the three points in barely deserved fashion.
For large periods of the game, it appeared as though West Ham were going to steal a win before Nketiah’s late sucker blow.
But David Moyes will undoubtedly have taken plenty of positives from the game. One of those would have been yet another impressive performance in the middle of the park from England international Declan Rice.
The youngster continues to impress and one man who played for both West Ham and Arsenal loved what he saw.
John Hartson spent two years at Arsenal before joining West Ham in 1997, where he also spent two seasons.
The Welshman took to Twitter whilst watching his former clubs playing to mention how impressed he was by West Ham, specifically Rice.

West Ham fans will be disappointed to still be on zero points for the season but this performance will no doubt give them hope of a potentially positive campaign.
If Rice can continue to play like this, it might be the cornerstone of West Ham having a season away from the relegation zone.
