John Hartson has criticised Rangers manager Steven Gerrard for his celebration during his team’s Old Firm victory over Celtic.
The Gers produced a brilliant performance away to rivals Celtic to win 2-1 at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership fixture.
Ryan Kent and Nikola Katic scored the crucial goals for the away side to keep them firmly in the title hunt.
It means that the Light Blues are second in the table during the winter break, but only two points adrift of leaders Celtic in the league table and they have also played a game less.
Gerrard showed his emotion on the touchline at full-time following the Rangers win, which was the club’s first at Parkhead since 2010.
But pundit and ex-Celtic forward Hartson was not too pleased with his reaction towards his counterparts in the opposite dugout.
“He’s (Gerrard) obviously absolutely thrilled with the win, it’s not easy to win at Celtic Park,” Hartson told talkSPORT.
“But I thought the handshake was slightly wrong. I thought he just slapped Neil Lennon’s hand and slapped John Kennedy’s hand and walked away.

TBR’s View:
Gerrard can be forgiven for his emotion in the massive Old Firm win at the weekend, which was the ideal way for Rangers to end 2019.
But he will know that there is no reason to get carried away and it will still take a monumental effort in the second half of the season to win the title.
The Gers have at least shown in recent months that they are a match for Celtic and it looks like there could finally be a thrilling Scottish Premiership title race once again.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon would have shown plenty of emotion had his side won at the weekend and opened up a big gap at the top of the table, but on the day his team were outplayed in their own backyard.
