Jurgen Klopp has agreed a new deal to manage Liverpool until the summer of 2024, prior to adding his third trophy to the Liverpool cabinet with the Club World Cup – but John Arne Riise has made a prediction about replacing him.
Klopp has earned himself legendary status at Anfield, after winning his third trophy as Liverpool manager in a matter of months. The Champions League triumph was followed by a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup over the weekend.
The Premier League trophy is on the horizon with Liverpool opening up a sizeable gap over Leicester City and Manchester City. That success has seen Klopp extend his stay at Anfield, but it remains to be seen if he will stay longer than 2024.
Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has agreed a deal at Rangers to the same length. He is shining in the dugout at Ibrox, and has been touted as a possible replacement for Klopp – and Riise reckons he is the iddeal replacement for Klopp.
When he gets the job it’s because he is a great manager and the right manager for Liverpool FC. Just look at what he’s doing at Rangers. He is very good and will get even better https://t.co/EX6Ltsy411

TBR’s view – Will Gerrard be the man to replace Klopp at Liverpool?
Rangers is an enormous job, with enormous pressure from an enormous fanbase. But does it match up to the pressure of managing the best players in the world? Probably not.
The Scottish Premiership is a completely different format and standard to the Premier League, and perhaps experience in England’s top tier should be a requirement by Liverpool before Gerrard takes over at Anfield.
The former midfielder, though, will inevitably take over on Merseyside in the future – at some point.
