Tottenham Hotspur had a fairly busy January transfer window, though most of the activity took place at the start and at the end.
Spurs were quick out of the starting blocks early on in the month when they signed Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.
Tottenham fans then had to wait until the final few days of the transfer window for more transfer activity.
Kevin Danso was next through the door at Tottenham, joining from Lens on an initial loan with £21million obligation to buy.
Finally, Spurs wrapped up the loan signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich after a dramatic transfer saga with plenty of twists and turns.
Tottenham technical director Johan Lange spoke to the club’s media team in wake of the transfer deadline to discuss a number of subjects and players.
Lange was asked about what role Danso will play in the team after being told he looks like a good fit for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Johan Lange backs Kevin Danso personality to have ‘huge factor’ in Tottenham dressing room
Lange acknowledged that Danso definitely looks like a good fit for Tottenham as he stressed how key it is for a player to be a “good stylistic fit”.
Lange then spoke of how Danso has plenty of experience to hit the ground running and play a key role within the Spurs dressing room right for the off.
“Yeah, the stylistic fit is always important,” said Lange. “The way we play we need players who are able to come in and perform within that style.
“Kevin, of course, as you say, is a very good stylistic fit but also he comes in with a lot of experience, both in the Bundesliga and in the Ligue 1 in France, as well as from the Austrian national team.
“He comes in at a good age with the experience to come in and take a role from the first day.
“Getting to know him more and more I’m sure that his personality will play a huge factor in the dressing room going forward.”
What’s been said about Danso as eligibility for League Cup clash v Liverpool revealed
The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke recently spoke about Danso’s arrival at Spurs and mentioned the reports he’s had back about the defender.
According to the journalist, the feeling around Danso is that his physical profile makes him perfect to play in Postecoglou’s high line.
“You know, a few people have said to me that like Danso’s physical profile makes him perfect to play in Tottenham’s high line,” said Pitt-Brooke.
“I just think, I think in the case of the Danso signing, unlike, for example, Kinsky or even Tel, like it’s kind of about somebody who can plug straight in, really.
“Like Spurs just needed somebody who’s experienced, you know, fit, able, dependable and ready to go.
“You know, it might well be depending on the other injuries that Danso plays a lot in the second half of this season.
“But I think clearly it’s just, you know, they need someone who can hit the ground running.”
Tottenham have also confirmed that Danso and Mathys Tel are eligible for Thursday night’s League Cup semi-final second leg clash with Liverpool.
The duo have received their work permits and have trained, while they are also eligible for the big cup clash having been signed ahead of the second leg.
