‘Jog on’, ‘He’s going nowhere’ – Burnley want Mateusz Klich, some Leeds fans react

Mateusz Klich has one year left on his Leeds contract.

Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is a summer target for Burnley, according to The Sun. Burnley want to bolster their options this summer and Klich is one of their options.

The Clarets are unsure how much to bid for Klich, though, as he has one year left on his contract. After an impressive season for Leeds, Klich might get an opportunity in the Premier League.

Under Marcelo Bielsa, Klich was given a fresh start at Leeds. He returned the favour by playing 50 times in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.

The Poland international was an integral part of Bielsa’s plans as Leeds pushed for promotion. But after Leeds fell short, Klich has been offered a route to the Premier League by Burnley.

This is a big decision for both Klich and Leeds if Burnley firm up their interest. Leeds will be determined to keep the 29-year-old unless a sizeable bid comes in.

Burnley have poached players from Leeds in recent years. After snapping up Chris Wood and Charlie Taylor, could Burnley return and land Klich? Here are some tweets from disgruntled Leeds fans after these Klich rumours emerged.
