Newcastle United ace Joelinton is a player reborn under Eddie Howe.

The 25-year-old is Newcastle United’s record signing, joining for a reported £40million in July 2019.

However, Joelinton struggled for quite a while at St James’ Park.

Often deployed up front or on the left wing at Newcastle, the Brazilian often looked lost.

But now, with Howe deploying him in attacking midfield, Joelinton is thriving.

Against West Ham, the player made plenty of passes, created chances, and also harried opposition players relentlessly.

At that game, three fans went the extra mile in showing appreciation for Joelinton.

They were spotted at the game wearing custom-made shirts with his face on them.

And after the game, Joelinton took to Instagram to praise those fans for their efforts.

Newcastle fought back to claim a 1-1 draw at West Ham.

Craig Dawson had opened the scoring for the hosts, heading home on 32 minutes from an Aaron Cresswell free kick.

However, Joe Willock got Newcastle back on level terms just before the break.

The 22-year-old guided the ball over the line off the far past, with goalline technology awarding the goal.

Credit to Howe for steering the heavily depleted Magpies to a great point away at a tough opponent.

Credit also to the Newcastle boss for getting Joelinton back to his best.
