Newcastle make the trip to Newcastle United today and the injuries and bad news seems to be stacking up for Eddie Howe ahead of the clash.
Alexander Isak is set to miss the tie after suffering a setback in his injury rehab, while Allan Saint-Maximin is also expected to miss out as well. Both are massive blows for Howe and Newcastle, but the bad news doesn’t stop there it seems.

According to journalist Craig Hope, Newcastle could now be without Joe Willock as well. Taking to Twitter just now, hope confirmed that Willock has been ill and that a late call is set to be made on the former Arsenal man.
Newcastle know they need all their big guns to get something at Old Trafford and news of Willock’s injury will be a huge blow for the Mags.
Willock has been a key player for Howe ever since he took over. Along with the likes of Saint-Maximin, Willock is seen as one of the players capable of taking the Toon up the table.
TBR’s View: Willock A Big Loss For Newcastle
This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Newcastle isn’t it. They seem to have had a wretched old week on the training pitch and now Willock’s illness compounds things.
Newcastle fans will hope he can play through it but at the end of the day, he might be more of a hindrance than a help if he isn’t close to 100% fit.
For Man United, this simply plays into their hands and Erik ten Hag must be delighted at seeing Newcastle decimated.
