Joe Willock and Arsenal star Bukayo Saka exchange messages on Instagram after 0-0 draw
Newcastle United star Joe Willock returned to the Emirates on Tuesday and helped his side hold Bukayo Saka‘s Arsenal to a frustrating 0-0 draw.
The Gunners had a chance to go 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a win, but resilient defending from the visitors earned them a valuable point against the leaders.
Hale End graduates Saka and Willock reunited after the game.

It really was a frustrating night for the Gunners at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s side started the game brilliantly and could’ve easily scored through Martin Odegaard. Newcastle then grew into the game and could’ve found the net themselves just before half-time.
The way Eddie Howe set his side out to play – and play-act at times – was perfect. They completely disrupted Arsenal’s game, who just couldn’t play at their usual tempo because of all the stoppages.
Willock, who joined Arsenal as a four-year-old and spent about 17 years at the club, joined Newcastle permanently in the summer of 2021 after a hugely successful loan spell.
He’s still on good terms with many of the Arsenal lads, especially his mates from the Hale End academy like Saka.
Yesterday, a day after the 0-0 draw at the Emirates, Willock posted a picture of himself embracing Saka at the end of the game.
“Keep shining bro,” he wrote in his message on Instagram Stories to the 21-year-old Arsenal man.
Saka reposted that on his Instagram and wrote: “You too brother!”
