Last month, Aston Villa were linked with a move for Nottingham Forest’s £12m-rated winger Joe Lolley, as per The Sun.
Lolley has been in stunning form for Nottingham Forest this season and it is no surprise to see other clubs linked with him or the Reds placing a hefty price tag on his head.
The 26-year-old is a boyhood Aston Villa fan and he gave them a glimpse of his ability firsthand in Wednesday’s game between the two sides.
Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-1 at home by the Villans but Lolley picked up an assist for Jack Colback’s goal and caused plenty of problems.
Lolley completed three dribbles, made three key passes and was fouled twice (via Who Scored) but he could not prevent Aston Villa’s win.

If Aston Villa win promotion this season, then they could team Lolley up with Jack Grealish in what promises to be an exciting partnership.
Both players are skilful and have goals and assists in their locker and the pair are also boyhood Aston Villa supporters.
You can see how much it means to Grealish every time he pulls on the claret and blue and having two talented players with that mindset could send Aston Villa on their way to glory.
Lolley has scored nine and assisted nine this season, suggesting he is ready to step up and join Grealish if Aston Villa go up via the play-offs.
