Joe Hart has sent a six-word Instagram message to Tottenham Hotspur teammate Son Heung-min after the South Korea captain scored the winning penalty as Spurs saw off Southampton after initially going behind, winning 2-1.
Son scored the winning penalty after seeing an earlier effort somewhat harshly disallowed, with Lucas Moura said to be obstructing Alex McCarthy’s line of vision. But Spurs eventually won the match, in Ryan Mason’s first game.
Danny Ings opened the scoring inside the first 10 minutes, as Spurs started poorly in the first match since Jose Mourinho was sacked. He got across Serge Aurier with ease, heading past Hugo Lloris from a corner.

But Gareth Bale pegged his old side back, curling a beautiful effort into the top corner after a loose ball fell into the path of the Real Madrid loanee. Son then had an effort disallowed, to put Spurs 2-1 ahead.
By this time, the North London club are dominating and with moments left in the match – substitute Moussa Djenepo dived in on Sergio Reguilon and VAR gave Spurs a penalty. Son duly dispatched, with Harry Kane injured.
Hart took to his Instagram story to send a six-word message to Son, who took his tally to 20 goals for the season. He now has 36 goal involvements for Spurs throughout 2020-21 – and Hart was full of praise.
