Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joe Hart has waxed lyrical about Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, saying the Spurs midfielder is a “top professional”.
The Dane joined Tottenham in August for a reported £15million on a five-year contract said to be worth around £100,000-a-week, and has quickly become one of Jose Mourinho’s main men.
To date, Hojbjerg has made 36 appearances for Spurs, his battling, intelligent performances in the centre of the park something the North Londoners have needed for some time.

The 25-year-old has also been lauded for his attitude and commitment, with Hart singing his praises on Spurs’ YouTube channel.
Hart and a few of his teammates, including Hojbjerg, were asked who in the Spurs squad was the first player to the training ground every day.
While Eric Dier was named as the player who usually gets to the training ground first, Hart claimed Hojbjerg was never far behind.
“Pierre is a top professional and he just does everything right,” said the 33-year-old. “His job is his job and whatever he needs to do after takes place after that.”
And Hojbjerg appreciated Hart’s compliment, before jokingly adding: “My wife hates me, because I’m never home so I get a bit of stick.”
TBR View:
Hojbjerg has proven to be a superb signing for Spurs, his efforts contributing to the North Londoners flying high in the Premier League earlier in the season, reaching the League Cup final, and making the last 32 of the Europa League.
Admittedly things have gone a bit awry in the league and FA Cup, but Hojbjerg remains one of Spurs’ most consistent players, a bona fide fan favourite who’ll hopefully be a key player for the North Londoners for years to come.
