Tottenham goalkeeper Joe Hart has raved about the qualities of teammate Harry Kane, who he believes is “selfless” on the pitch and the perfect team player.

Kane, who is a world-class talent to come out of the academy, has been the talisman in the Spurs XI for a number of years and he appears to be constantly improving.

The 27-year-old England captain has started the new season on fire and he’s quieting the claims that he might struggle to score working under manager Jose Mourinho.

He’s played 10 games across all competitions so far this campaign, scoring 10 goals and setting up nine assists.

His creativity recently has been shining through and he’s looked a real playmaker at times when dropping into a number 10 role, with teammate Heung-Min Son is partner in crime in the final third.

Hart has explained that he loves playing alongside prolific centre-forward Kane and described him as a “special player”.

“I struggle to find a fault with Harry. He is absolutely brilliant. Every single pass, every single shot, every single decision,” Hart said, as quoted by BBC Sport.

“He is such a team player. His leadership is doing it, which is often more important than being vocal. We have seen how selfless he is. He is a special player and I love being in the same team as him.”

TBR’s View:

Kane looks the all-round complete player at the moment who is enjoying some of the best football in his career, which is why Portuguese boss Mourinho does deserve plenty of credit.

The English striker is so pivotal to the way Spurs set up now, with wide players such as Heung-Min Son, Gareth Bale, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura running deep behind him.

Despite the fact they’ve not won any silverware in the last 12 years, Spurs have a group of players that need to be targeting a trophy this season and they’ve got a squad lead by Kane that is capable.
