Joe Hart has warned Tottenham Hotspur’s players on the club’s official website – claiming that if they are not at their best, then they will struggle to get a result against Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday evening.
Spurs travel north to Lancashire to take on Burnley and build on their excellent recent form which has only been let down by a few defensive mistakes. Certainly, Spurs are free-flowing in the final third, scoring goal after goal.
But going from 3-0 up to draw against West Ham, and failing to hold onto a 1-0 lead in injury time against Newcastle sees Spurs sit far below where they should be placed in the table. A 6-1 over Manchester United is proof they are capable of much more.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hart, who left Burnley in the summer on a free transfer before agreeing a two-year contract with Spurs, warned his new teammates that his old ones could easily beat them – if his new side are not at the races.

“I think they don’t really get enough credit sometimes – there’s a lot of quality in the team as well,” Hart told the club’s official website. “The boys know their roles really well.
“The manager coaches them to know exactly what they’re doing and basically the fundamentals of the team mean that if the opposition is not on it, they’re probably going to beat them.”
TBR’s view – Spurs must take risks against Burnley
Burnley will allow Spurs to control possession during Monday night’s clash, and look to hit them on the counter. Spurs will be tasked with penetrating a low block, and in order to get past that – they must take risks.
If they play safe, dominating possession but failing to do anything with it, Burnley will secure the point they are looking for – and given their quality from set-pieces, they night even nab all three. Spurs must find a way to break the block.
