Gelhardt big fan of Marsch
“Jesse is a great person, he’s a great manager as well,” he said.
“From the past, everyone knows he’s given youngsters a chance and it’s the same with us, he believes in the youth and we’ve got to repay that by giving 100% every time we step out on the pitch for him.”
Gelhardt certainly repaid the faith shown in him last season after being called into action off the back of a number of injuries to first-team players.
The young striker showed what he is capable of as he scored two goals and assisted four times, while looking a real threat for Leeds.
Leeds are ‘ready’ for the Premier League season
Gelhardt is looking to battle for a place in Marsch’s eleven again this season after gruelling sessions over the summer months.
He added: “It’s been tough, physically but it’s expected and we’re all ready for the premier league next week and we’re all excited.”
With Bamford back from injury, Gelhardt may not get as much game time as he experienced last season but it’s clear that he’s a player Marsch rates highly.

Off the back of a new contract and an impressive campaign, Gelhardt could be an important option for Marsch this season.
