Joe Cole has chosen one attribute of Bukayo Saka’s when asked to build his perfect football.

Speaking to Goal, Cole was tasked with building a so-called ultimate footballer made up of different attributes from the world’s biggest stars.

As you can imagine, he picked Kylian Mbappe’s speed and ability on his right foot, but he actually chose Bukayo Saka’s left foot to make up his perfect player.

Saka’s left-foot is perfect

Cole built his ultimate footballer.

“Left foot?” Cole was asked.

“Saka” Cole replied.

“Right foot?”

“Mbappe,” Cole answered.

“Speed?”

“Mbappe,” Cole said.

“Strength?”

“Kim Min-Jae,” Cole replied.

“Football IQ?”

“Jude Bellingham, Cole concluded.

Now choosing who has the best left-foot in football these days is a tough call to make.

For years, Lionel Messi would be the easiest stock answer to this question, but now that the Argentine is playing in MLS and has faded from the spotlight somewhat, it’s not as simple an answer to give.

Cole has picked Saka, but, in our view, you have to go with either Erling Haaland or Mohamed Salah.

All due respect to Saka, but Salah and Haaland are that much more clinical with their finishing.

Their left feet are absolute weapons, and while Saka has a wand of a left peg, he’s not necessarily the man you’d back to score every single chance he gets.

Regardless, we can’t help but salivate over the idea of this footballer that Cole has built, combining Mbappe’s speed with Jude Bellingham’s football IQ would create an almost unstoppable player, and that’s before we even speak about Kim Min-Jae’s strength.

The fact that Saka is even in this conversation now goes to show that he’s now well and truly among football’s elite, and he could well be a Premier League champion come the end of the season.
