Joe Aribo the star of the show in Rangers’ 1-1 home draw

Joe Aribo starred for Rangers despite frustrating Hearts draw.

Saturday could have been a better day for Rangers fans.

The Gers saw their side fall to a 1-1 draw courtesy of a 90th minute equaliser from Hearts at Ibrox.

However, it wasn’t a day where no positives can be taken.

The main talking point will have been the continued form of John Lundstram.

The summer signing has finally found his feet at Ibrox and showed that as he opened the scoring.

However, Joe Aribo was one of the stars of the show.

The 25-year-old was sublime.

He made 4 key passes on the day and completed all of his 4 attempted dribbles (FotMob).

He was also fouled twice and kept things ticking over with 35 completed passes in his 75 minutes on the pitch.

It wasn’t just on the ball that Aribo shone, though.

Out of possession Aribo made 1 tackle and 1 interception as well as winning 8 duals and completing 6 recoveries.

This was the performance of a man possessed.

It would have been incredibly frustrating for him too, having been subbed 15 minutes earlier, to see his hard work undone.

The positive thing from the draw is that it hasn’t cost Steven Gerrard’s side their spot at the top of the table.

However, they’re now just one point above Hearts in the table.

They’re also four points ahead of Celtic, who won at Motherwell yesterday too.

Next up for the Gers in league action is a trip to St. Mirren.

That gives Aribo a chance to once again shine, and hopefully help his side secure three points.

Getting back to winning ways is crucial, and with Aribo in form you’d back them to do just that next weekend.
