Joao Sacramento applauds one Spurs player on Instagram, Ledley King also comments
Dane Scarlett became Tottenham Hotspur’s youngest-ever Premier League player when he entered the field of play during a 2-0 win over West Brom on Sunday – and both Ledley King and Joao Sacramento have responded.
Scarlett, still only 16, came on for the final few seconds of Tottenham’s return to winning ways. With Harry Kane back in the side, Spurs looked a different side to the team that had lost to Liverpool, Brighton and Chelsea.
Kane and Son got the goals, though the scoreline should have been a lot more – had it not been for West Brom’s defensive rearguard for the best part of an hour. Instead, Spurs came up trumps, when Kane opened the scoring.

Spurs are now just three points off fifth with a game in hand over five of the top six, and Scarlett eclipsed Stephen Carr’s record as the club’s youngest Premier League player. Carr was 17 and 27 days, while Scarlett is still 16.
It is his second senior outing, having came on for 10 minutes in the Europa League during a 4-0 win over Bulgarian side Ludogorets. It comes after scoring 19 goals in 16 Under-18 outings, and two in three reserve games.
First-team coach and Spurs legend King was very complimentary on Twitter, as was assistant manager Sacramento on his Instagram story.
👏🏾congratulations @DScarlett09 👊🏾no better role model than @HKane to watch,learn and inspire to be. #COYS https://t.co/q4xoL9uPhL
