Jimmy Bullard has delivered a brilliant response on Instagram after Victor Orta was seen passionately berating a Leeds United fan, following Patrick Bamford’s injury-time equaliser against Brentford.
Bamford, 28, scored with seconds remaining as Leeds managed to secure a point, drawing 2-2. Moments later, sporting director Orta was seen screaming at a supporter from the directors box.
Alongside CEO Angus Kinnear and other board members, Orta – who is renowned for being a passionate fan just as much as he is a calculated tactician and strategist – was clearly incensed following Bamford’s goal.
Whether the England international has received criticism since coming on, or the Leeds team did as a whole, remains to be seen. But Orta’s reaction has gained plenty of praise from supporters.
Even ex-England midfielder and Soccer AM host Bullard praised the ex-Boro director for his words. He took to Instagram in response to the video, applauding the Leeds chief for his passion.

Bullard on Orta: Leeds man deserves praise, and so do Leeds players
Before the game, Leeds fans would have been hoping that the upward surge in momentum after draws against Leicester and Brighton and a win over Palace would have continued.
While it was not a win, it was still a solid point against a side that have beaten Arsenal, Everton and West Ham – and drawn 3-3 with Liverpool. Leeds should be proud of their performance.
Momentum is still increasing and their returning players will need game time to get back to their best. Orta’s defence of his Leeds players, and signings, should be praised – as should the players themselves.
