‘He is relentless’: Jesse Marsch raves about one Leeds player v Chelsea, says he is ‘very intelligent’

Leeds United manager, Jesse Marsch, has told the BBC that he is so impressed with his new signing Brenden Aaronson.

The American was signed in the summer as Marsch got to work in bringing in new players, following the high-profile sales of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.

Of course, Aaronson got himself on the scoresheet today as he produced a fine performance against Chelsea. And speaking after the game, Marsch couldn’t get enough of his new signing.

“The kid is non-stop. He is relentless. I knew that about him when I had him in Salzburg. He is also very intelligent and can adapt quickly. That is what you have seen. He has got better from week one to week two to week three,” Marsch said of Aaronson.

“If he continues on this pace he has potential to really grow. That is across the whole group. It id about feeding them positive information and reinforcement and getting them to commit in every way possible. You see the work ethic. We never get out-run, we never get out-worked. I am trying to build so we don’t also get out-thought.”

The goal at Elland Road was Aaronson’s first in Leeds colours and he’ll be looking to kick on – with the backing of Marsch – further into the season.

TBR’s View: Aaronson Looks Some Signing For Leeds

The Whites look to have brought in high energy players to suit Marsch’s style and there is no doubt that Brenden Aaronson looks the real deal right now.

Of course, there is a long way to go in the season and there’s plenty more to come from both he and Leeds if the opening few games are anything to go by. The key now for the Leeds newboy will be maintaining that performance level.
