Jesse Marsch didn’t have many success stories during his time at Leeds United.
Indeed, the former Whites gaffer got a lot wrong during his time at Elland Road.
He and Victor Orta combined to make many signings they knew well – either from the USA or from the Red Bull group, and many of those failed to make an impact.
The likes of Brenden Aaronson, Weston McKennie and Rasmus Kristensen all struggled to make anything happen at Leeds, but there was one successs story from this core of players.
Indeed, Tyler Adams was undoubtedly one of Leeds’ best players last season, and he made headlines over the weekend after scoring an incredible goal for the USA.
Speaking on CBS, Marsch has been analysing Adams’ goal for the US, and he says that in all his time training with the midfielder, he’s never seen him take a shot like that.

Tyler Adams never scored a goal like that in Leeds training
Marsch spoke about his former Leeds star.
“I’ve sat at training and passed him the ball to shoot from 30 yards out and work on that, and he’s never ever hit a ball like that in his life,” Marsch said.
Tyler Adams never even tried it for Leeds
Adams’ goal at the weekend was a wonderstrike, and, in all honesty, we never saw it coming.
Adams was a very good player for Leeds, but he never even tried something like this, nevermind pulling it off.
Adams seems to be playing with all sorts of confidence right now, and that bodes very well not only for the USA but for Bournemouth too.
Of all the players Leeds had to let go after their relegation last season, selling Adams was undoubtedly the most painful call the higher-ups at Elland Road had to make.
Adams was a rare beacon of hope in what was a terrible season last term.
