Jesse Marsch revealed exactly what’s going on in Leeds training after late Elland Road win

Leeds United might have snuck a win over Norwich City in the most dramatic fashion earlier today but manager Jesse Marsch has admitted he is not overly happy with how things are going in training.

Marsch has had quite the welcome to English football. He saw his side undeservedly lose to Leicester in his first game before a hammering at the hands of Aston Villa didn’t exactly go down well. Today, he saw the true appeal of the English game as Leeds chucked away, then snatched back a victory against the Canaries.

However, speaking after the game, Marsch admitted that he felt his team deserved to win. And while he was happy to take three points, he admitted he is frustrated at the succession of games not allowing any time on the training pitch.

“We’re talking a lot about principals. But unfortunately we don’t have enough time to work on them on the pitch. Most of the work we are doing, honestly, is video analysis work and going through walk-throughs. I need, we need, more time together where we can really start to engrain the way we play,” Marsch told Leeds’ official channels.

Leeds take on Wolves next before a break for international football could allow Marsch that time he mentions.

TBR’s View: No Rest For The Wicked In The Premier League

It’s a fair point from the Leeds boss but it’s something he has to get used to in the English game. It’s fast paced and in your face and a lot of the time, there’s no huge slots to work on masses of ideas.

Antonio Conte has found this at Tottenham and you can see when he has time, the team looks better. Marsch, then, will hope for similar results.
