West Ham United attacker Michail Antonio posted a video of himself on Instagram in a Tottenham shirt after losing a FIFA bet to Spurs ace Ryan Sessegnon – and Jermaine Jenas has responded, claiming he suits the Lilywhite shirt.
With the Covid-19 epidemic limiting footballers and the rest of the public to their homes, many have taken to playing FIFA 20 to pass the time. Indeed, Sessegnon and Antonio are examples, while clubs have entered a tournament on social media.
Antonio and Sessegnon streamed a clash on FIFA 20 between the Tottenham and West Ham players, which Sessegnon won 2-0 and had two penalties saves. It saw Gio Lo Celso and Lucas Moura find the back of the net.
The forfeit of the defeat was to post an image of themselves in the opponents’ shirt. Antonio took it one step further, admitting defeat by wearing a Tottenham shirt – before pulling it off to show a Hammers away kit underneath.
Antonio, 29, has scored 30 goals and created another 21 in his 145 West Ham outings since he joined the club for £7million (BBC) from Nottingham Forest. His long-term future is in doubt, though, given he has little over 12 months remaining.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas commented on his post with a claim that is likely to wind up supporters. He said Antonio looks good in Tottenha’s colours.
