Jermaine Jenas has raved about Son Heung-min on BT Sport after he opened the scoring in Antonio Conte’s Tottenham reign on Thursday night.
Son, 29, scored the first goal of the game on Thursday night as Spurs beat Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. A 3-2 win, that was far from comfortable.
Spurs raced to a 3-0 lead inside the first 30 minutes. Son, Lucas Moura and a Jacob Rasmussen own goal saw the North Londoners cruise to an early lead.
But from that point in, it was something Spurs fans are very used to seeing. A fragile defence conceded two very soft goals, before half-time.
Then, Cristian Romero saw a second yellow just after half-time. However, Spurs held out – with Vitesse suffering two red cards themselves late on.
Speaking about Son, who netted his fifth goal of 21-22, BT Sport host Jenas was full of praise – labelling him a manager’s dream, with Conte now in.
“He’s a manager’s dream. He seems to be the player that always delivers no matter, what manager is in the seat,” Jenas said.

Jenas on Son: Most-important player of Conte reign at Tottenham?
In the past, Conte’s 3-4-3 system normally sees the wing-backs prove to be the most-effective players in the side. Sergio Reguilon, and Emerson Royal.
Both were excellent on Thursday. A midfielder with stamina is crucial to play as a two-man midfield, and progressive centre-backs.
Romero was poor, seeing red. Ben Davies looked comfortable without shining, having played left centre-back for Wales over the years.
But up top, Son could be the difference – with Harry Kane out of form. Over the next couple of weeks, Son will be crucial for Conte.
