Jermaine Jenas has claimed that Aaron Ramsey’s exit from Arsenal left them with a problem that the club are still yet to address.
Ramsey, who made 371 appearances for Arsenal, left the club back in the 2019 summer window to join Juventus on a pre-contract agreement.
The 29-year-old is a central midfielder that has found it difficult to really establish himself with Italian giants Juventus, but he’s a talented individual that was a real favourite at the Emirates Stadium.
Jenas believes that Arsenal have lacked a goalscoring midfielder since the Wales international departed.
He averaged a goal every 5.7 games during his Gunners career and surely he’d walk into Mikel Arteta’s starting XI if he was still at the club.
“They don’t have really a goalscoring midfielder since they let Aaron Ramsey go. They haven’t had a consistent seven or eight goals in that Arsenal team so all of a sudden it puts huge pressure on the likes of Aubameyang,” Jenas told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

TBR’s View:
Despite his obvious problems with injuries in his career, Ramsey was a huge success at Arsenal and he could always be relied on to chip in with some goals.
The current side are putting too much pressure on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score the majority of their goals and his dip in form has seen them really struggle.
Arsenal have the likes of Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny, Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos in the centre of the park, but with Mesut Ozil currently frozen out there is a lack of goal threat coming from the midfield.
