Jermaine Jenas hailed Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen after his performance in the win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
Spurs recorded a 1-0 away victory in Germany to secure a 4-0 aggregate win and book their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Harry Kane scored the only goal of the night with a great finish, but it was the defensive heroics that were the real story for the Premier League team on the European stage.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris made several top-class saves to keep out Dortmund, while the Spurs backline held firm too.
Ex-Spurs midfielder and now pundit Jenas singled out centre-back Vertonghen for his own individual display.
“This guy (Vertonghen) is a quality, quality player,” Jenas told BT Sport.
“He’s been at the club so long. At wing-back he was brilliant obviously in the first leg and he’s shown just how much quality that the guy has over the two legs.”

TBR’s View:
Vertonghen was perhaps the pick of the Spurs player excluding the goalkeeper, despite the fact they all put their bodies on the line to secure qualification.
The 31-year-old made one crucial last-ditch tackle to deny Marco Reus in the first-half and a Dortmund goal could have turned the tie on its head.
Vertonghen showed his versatility at left wing-back in the first leg a few weeks ago, but excelled in midweek in his usual central role as part of a back three.
He’s become a real leader on the pitch with the standards he set and made some brilliant tackles to save his team.
