Kyle Walker has posted on Instagram after Manchester City were confirmed as Premier League champions following Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday night – and Jermaine Jenas has made a big claim in the comments.

United fielded a much-weakened side, making 10 changes to take on Leicester at Old Trafford and the 2-1 defeat to Brendan Rodgers’ side has seen City crowned as champions. It is the third time in four seasons that Man City have won the title.

Walker, 30, is one of a number of examples of City players that have undergone some tricky form to come out the other end and produce the form of his life. Struggling at the start of the season, Walker has produced some incredible performances recently.

The 55-time England international’s form is similar to that of John Stones, Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus and even Oleksandr Zinchenko in going from somewhat inconsistent – to excellent. He posted on Instagram after winning the Premier League title.

Tottenham fan and pundit Jenas responded to his post, labelling the former Spurs ace Walker the best right-back in European football as he continues to edge towards a potential treble this term. Gael Clichy reacted to Jenas’ claim, agreeing with him.
