Leeds United cruised to a 5-2 victory over Newcastle last night as Marcelo Bielsa’s men put on a fine display of late counter-attacking football.
Newcastle had managed to cling onto a 2-2 scoreline deep into the second half but goals from Stuart Dallas, Gjanni Alioski, and Jack Harrison, took the game away from the visiting Magpies.
The display was a far cry from the prediction former West Ham and England man, Trevor Sinclair, had earlier made. Sinclair, speaking for Talksport, had claimed Leeds were looking ‘tired’ in recent games.
And that was something that fellow pundit and former Leeds hero, Jermaine Beckford, picked up on, as he took to Twitter to brilliantly troll the former QPR winger.

Beckford, a regular himself on a number of broadcasts, including Sky and Talksport, is an avid Leeds fan and will have revelled in getting one over on a fellow pundit.
In fairness, Sinclair responded with similar humour, seemingly conceding he’d been wide of the mark on this one.

Beckford, though, definitely got the last laugh with this one it seems.
Leeds starting to purr nicely heading into Christmas – TBR View
If Leeds can sort out their defensive woes, then they’re a genuine match for most teams in the Premier League.
Last night, it clicked attacking wise in the end, too. It looked like being a frustrating night but once the third goal went in, Leeds smelled blooed and capitalised.
It was great to see, and a top half finish looks firmly on the cards for the Whites this term in all honesty.
