Celtic loanee Jeremy Toljan is a summer transfer target for Serie A giants Napoli when the transfer window reopens. The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Parkhead from Borussia Dortmund.
According to Corriere dello Sport, as quoted in the Daily Record, the Italian club wanted Toljan when he was at Hoffenheim and could renew their interest when the window reopens.
It does seem, however, that they have doubts over his fitness and will continue to monitor him in that regard.

The versatile defender was signed by former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers as cover for his full-backs, given his ability to play on both sides of the back four.
He has featured in 12 games for the Hoops but has started just six of those.
TBR Verdict
This news probably won’t upset too many Celtic fans given that Toljan hasn’t really made a massive impression on the football club.
The Dortmund man has done a job but on the basis that he hasn’t been able to hold down a regular place, he would seem a somewhat pointless signing.

It is a fair suggestion that Celtic probably need to be targeting more capable players when it comes to spending their money.
Toljan may well go to Napoli and prove a success, but the fact that they are monitoring his fitness probably says a lot.
This won’t be a massive loss and they should cast their eyes towards other targets this summer.
