West Ham United full-back Jeremy Ngakia has expressed his pride on Instagram after coming up against Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Ngakia continues to impress as he establishes himself in the Hammers’ first-team. He has made four appearances for the senior side, with two coming against Liverpool and the latest coming against the Gunners.
It was ultimately a disappointing day for David Moyes’s men. Alexandre Lacazette’s late goal proved to be the difference between the two teams.
West Ham certainly had their chances to win the game. Bernd Leno was superb in the Arsenal goal, with his highlight coming when he saved Michail Antonio’s header during the second-half.
But there are reasons for optimism for the Irons.
Ngakia’s form since breaking into the side is one of those reasons. The full-back has produced some brilliant performances already, and was largely solid again against Arsenal.
And following the game, he took to social media to comment on the result.
He also shared his delight at playing against Nketiah. The pair would have spent time together in Chelsea’s academy before their respective moves to their current clubs.
They have both broken into their sides this season. And they look to have the potential to be key men for West Ham and Arsenal respectively for years to come.
