Former Arsenal goalkeeper, Jens Lehmann, has claimed the current position of the club is unacceptable and that players need to take responsibility.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lehman was critical of the ‘Arsenal brand’ being damaged at the moment. A miserable start to the Premier League season has been half rescued by a good Europa League campaign thus far.

However, Lehmann is unimpressed and although he says Arteta and the board need to shoulder some blame, he slammed Arsenal’s players for not being able to deal with the pressure.
“The board has to make the right decisions, the manager has to make the right decisions by signing players and coaching them,” Lehmann said.
‘The players are in a fantastic environment, they are in London at one of the most traditional clubs. It seems that some of them are still having problems to cope with the pressure because everybody expects them to win something. “
Lehmann was part of an Arsenal side which has world-class players such as Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, and Patrick Vieira.

It is little surprise, then, to see him so angry at the Gunners’ current form and lack of leadership within the Arsenal dressing room it seems.

Of course, the book stops with the manager at any football club but Mikel Arteta is putting his heart and sould into at at Arsenal.
Some of his bigger players need to show up more. That’s the only way he’s going to see the club out of its current slump.
Other than that, he will need a big rebuild job and will be lucky to be given the time to do such a job.
