Leeds United lost to Millwall at the weekend, dropping to fifth in the Championship as a consequence. It was a game that was made a lot harder by the early red card for Gaetano Berardi.
Leeds fans were left disappointed with the decision to send off the Swiss defender, which also resulted in a penalty.

However, as revealed by the man who scored from 12 yards out, the red card did not have a massive impact on Leeds’ play.
As reported by Leeds Live, Wallace admitted that Leeds seemed to be just as good with 10 men as they did with the full compliment.
“Every time we play Leeds we play well. You look through the times we have played them… they are an unbelievable side.
“I don’t know if that when they went down to 10 men, they brought two extra men on, to be honest – it felt like they were everywhere.”
TBR’s View
There is no doubt that Leeds played well considering they were down to 10 men, which perhaps makes the defeat even more frustrating for Leeds and their fanbase.
If Berardi had not been harshly sent off, Leeds will feel confident they would have managed to get the better of their Championship rivals at the New Den.
Unfortunately, that proved not to be the case and Leeds will be hoping to get back to winning ways after the international break.
