Leeds United take on Millwall at Elland Road as they look to put a dismal run of league form behind them and get their promotion chase back on tract – and new signing Jean-Kevin Augustin is looking forward to being at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have managed just one league win in their past seven games, last losing to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. However, since that match, Leeds have been active in the transfer market.

As well as adding goalkeeper Elia Caprile, the club have brought in Ian Poveda from Manchester City as a replacement for Jack Clarke on a permanent basis – before announcing the signing of Jean-Kevin Augustin from RB Leipzig on Monday.

The Frenchman has posted his excitement at watching Leeds on Twitter for the first time at Elland Road, with Bielsa stating in press conference on Monday that he does not think Augustin will be available.

Patrick Bamford is certainly expected to start up front even if Augustin is available – with Bielsa unsure when asked if the France Under-21 international will be able to play against Millwall, as per Leeds Live: “I don’t think he’s going to be involved tomorrow.”

A win for Leeds would see them pile the pressure on league leaders West Bromwich Albion, who are playing away to Cardiff City on Tuesday night. Leeds can also stretch their lead above third-placed Fulham to six points.
