Tottenham Hotspur have recently been dealt a blow with the news that Harry Kane could be out until March with an ankle injury picked up in the final blow of the recent 1-0 loss to Manchester United. With Heung-min Son at the Asian Cup, it leaves Spurs a little short in the striking department.
One former Tottenham player suggested a brilliant solution to the problem yesterday. Graham Roberts hinted on his Twitter account that West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez could be the perfect recruit for Spurs.
Why not jay Rodrigues poch has coached him before

On the one hand, it makes perfect sense.
Rodriguez is known to Mauricio Pochettino. It was under his tutelage he won his one and only England cap. He can score goals in the Premier League and is in form with the Championship promotion chasers. He is also a homegrown player, something Tottenham lack.
The fact he can also play wide from the left means he could even play with Harry Kane going forward, so he would not fear prolonged spells on the sidelines.
“I am so happy for him, he is a lovely person and a great player. After a massive injury, he is showing great quality. Maybe it is difficult to show the same level that he was at Southampton, but he is more experienced, more mature and it will be fantastic to see him tomorrow.”
The one issue is West Brom. The Baggies, obviously, have no desire to sell the player midway through the season. In the summer, they were demanding £20 million for the player, as reported by The Independent.
Considering the fact he turns 30 in the summer and his past injury record there is absolutely no chance Daniel Levy would sanction a £20 million move for the player. It could be a decent signing, but it looks very unlikely.
