Jason Cundy has claimed that Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris needs to “move on” and be sold by the club.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper is a senior figure within the Spurs dressing and the World Cup winner has been at the North London outfit since 2012.
Cundy’s criticism of the Spurs shot-stopper came immediately after the team’s 5-4 defeat to Everton on Wednesday night in the FA Cup.
Jose Mourinho’s side were knocked out of the cup in the fifth round, as Everton attacker Bernard scored a winner in extra time at Goodison Park in a thriller.
Cundy didn’t hold back with his assessment of the goalkeeper’s display and has suggested he needs to leave Spurs.
“Lloris has got to move on… He is a weak link. I don’t feel he fills the back four, five, whatever system they are playing, with any confidence,” Cundy told talkSPORT.
“Lloris tonight lets them back into the game. Lloris, I’ve seen it too many times, again this season. Moving on, I think they need an upgrade.”

TBR’s View:
Lloris still has another 18 months remaining on his £100,000-a-week star (Spotrac) with Spurs and there are no signs of him losing his number one position.
But he is under the spotlight after his display in the FA Cup.
He showed weak wrists when trying to save Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal, plus there were question marks over his positioning for some of the other goals.
Conceding five goals is an embarrassment for the entire defensive unit, but the goalkeeper often gets the most stick.
