Jason Cundy admitted he was left “amazed” by the Tottenham side that were beaten on Sunday in the north London derby.
Spurs were beaten 2-1 away to bitter rivals Arsenal at the weekend in the Premier League.
Despite going ahead through Erik Lamela’s wonder-strike at the Emirates Stadium, Jose Mourinho’s side ended up with zero points after goals from Martin Odegaard and Alexandre Lacazette for the hosts.
Arsenal appeared to be on top for most of the game, albeit Spurs came alive and applied some late pressure with 10 men after Lamela was sent off in the 76th minute.
Pundit Cundy was extremely disappointed with Sunday’s performance from Spurs, who missed the opportunity to try close the gap to the top four.
He raised question marks over a lack of attacking intent despite having Lucas Moura, Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Gareth Bale all starting.
It means they are now eighth in the league standings, and are six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea having played a game less.
“I thought they were dreadful [against Arsenal],” Cundy told talkSPORT.
“I thought Spurs the way they set up played into Arsenal’s hands. I’m amazed at how toothless Spurs can be when they started the game with Lucas, Kane, Son and Bale. That’s quite an attacking line up, you’d never have known it.”

TBR’s View:
Teams have shown in recent weeks the blueprint of how to find success against Arsenal, pressing them high and making them lose possession in their own final third.
Spurs proved in the final 15 minutes that they looked a threat when they pushed forward, which is why their fans were fuming they didn’t operate with a front-foot approach against an opposition below them in the table.
Arsenal individuals have made some high-profile defensive mistakes in recent weeks, but they were allowed time and space to build confidence in possession.
