Jason Cundy reckons there is another English player that wants to leave Tottenham like Harry Kane
Jason Cundy has claimed he thinks Dele Alli wants to leave Tottenham during this window like his club teammate Harry Kane.
Firstly, Kane’s desire to leave Spurs this summer has been well covered by numerous sources.
Sky Sports updated a couple of days that Kane had once again told the north London club he wants to leave. Meanwhile, The Telegraph explains that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to negotiate a deal with Manchester City, who have made a £125million offer.
It remains to be seen where the 28-year-old will be playing his football at the end of the month, but it’s not an ideal look for the England captain.
Pundit Cundy suggests that he gets the feeling fellow Englishman Alli also wants to exit Spurs.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has actually been given a lifeline since new manager Nuno Espirito Santo arrived in the summer, so it’s a slightly bold claim.
“Harry Kane is sitting at home watching that tripe and thinking ‘I might have to play in that competition’. You would want to leave wouldn’t you? I reckon Dele Alli wants to leave as well,” Cundy told talkSPORT.
Dele Alli exit would be a surprise
Nuno is clearly willing to give Alli another chance. He played 90 minutes during the Premier League opening win over Manchester City.
The playmaker was once a star for both England and Spurs, but it looks a long road back to that.
According to The Athletic at the end of July, Alli has wanted to leave during the two previous transfer windows. However, it claimed that it seems unlikely he will go now Nuno has taken charge.
