Jason Cundy has claimed that Tottenham attacker Heung-Min Son is the most underrated player in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old attacker has started the new campaign in sensational form, with his partnership with teammate Harry Kane continuing to strengthen each game.

He goes into the current internatonal break with a record of seven goals in six appearances across all competitions this season, as well as providing three assists.

The South Korean star is a dynamic left-winger that is so dangerous in the final third come in from the flank, but his intelligent movements means he can drift into central areas and he shows such composure in front of goal.

Cundy believes that Son is a fantastic player and feels he should be talked about in the same vein as some Liverpool superstars.

“Son is brilliant. I think Son is probably the most underrated player in the league,” Cundy told talkSPORT.

“Everyone waxes lyrical about [Sadio] Mane and [Mohamed] Salah, and rightly so, but no one ever puts Son in that bracket.”

TBR’s View:

Son has been a superb player for Spurs since he joined from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015 and it looks like he’s about to reach the peak of his powers after going up another gear.

The forward managed 18 goals last season across all competitions, but the start he’s made to the new campaign suggests he’s going to smash the 20-goal barrier.

With Gareth Bale soon to be added to the Spurs mix, Jose Mourinho’s side could have one of the deadliest frontlines across Europe.
