West Ham star, Jarrod Bowen, has triggered himself a healthy pay rise at the club following a fine first 12 months with the Hammers.

Bowen signed for the club just last January, completing a deal worth around £20m to join the club, per the BBC. Since then, the former Hull man has scored five Premier League goals, four of which have come this season.

And according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Bowen has now bagged himself a nice hike in pay, after starting his 30th game for the club in the 1-0 win over Everton on New Year’s Day.

Bowen has been integral to to David Moyes’ system this year, offering pace and a goal threat in the wide right area, with Michail Antonio playing the prominent striker role when fit.

The 24-year-old is under contract for another four years anyway but will no doubt be delighted to see a nice jump in cash already.

Nobody knows what sort of money Bowen will be on but few would begrudge him a pay increase given his level of performance, especially this season.

Bowen has been superb and looks a continal threat out wide for the Hammers, whether that be with goals or creativity.

At just over £20m, he’s looking like a snip and if he carries on as he is, it won’t be long before he’s given another extended deal to tie him to the club even further.
