Jarrad Branthwaite makes big claim about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka

Everton loanee Jarrad Branthwaite has named Arsenal star Bukayo Saka as the best player he has ever faced in a Q&A on Twitter on Tuesday.

Branthwaite joined PSV Eindhoven in the summer as he continues to perfect his game at centre-back. He arrived having struggled for game-time with the Toffees.

Nevertheless, he has played in some important games during the early stages of his career. And more recently, he came up against Arsenal in the group-stages of the Europa League.

Branthwaite lauds Saka

It actually proved to be a positive night for PSV. However, one member of the Arsenal squad has clearly managed to make a big impression on Branthwaite.

It was the second time the 20-year-old has faced the Gunners. His previous appearance came on the final day of last season, when Mikel Arteta’s men won 5-1 at the Emirates.

Given that result, it is probably not a huge surprise that Branthwaite picked out an Arsenal player when asked on Twitter who the best he has come up against is…

It is likely that plenty of rivals will agree with Branthwaite when it comes to Saka. The 21-year-old has truly been exceptional ever since breaking into the Arsenal first-team.

For much of his time in the side, he has been the shining light; the reason for supporters to remain somewhat optimistic.

Now however, Saka is not the only outstanding performer in the Gunners’ ranks. Arsenal have been transformed over the last couple of years. They now find themselves top of the Premier League, as well as through in the Europa League.

And Saka absolutely remains the jewel in the crown for Arsenal.
