January loan exit could make or break Jordan Rossiter’s Rangers career

Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter has struggled to establish himself as a regular since his 2016 move from Liverpool.

Injury niggles have blighted his time at Ibrox and the frustrated midfielder just needs to get into a rhythm.

But with Rangers performing well and the central midfield department looking packed at the minute, he needs to leave this month to get game time.

According to The Express, Steven Gerrard has given the green light to allow Rossiter to move away on loan in January.

Gerrard has only used Rossiter on five occasions this season and a loan spell is desperately needed to relaunch his career.

If the former Liverpool starlet can impress out on loan, he could save his Rangers career. But a failure to do so could lead to his permanent exit.

In Gerrard, Rossiter has the perfect mentor; the pair have been compared in the past and the Liverpool-born midfielder will be eager to impress his hero.

But the ex-England youth player knows that he needs to show his talent during a loan spell away from Rangers.

If Rossiter can rediscover his touch out on loan, he could be an exciting long-term option for the Gers.
