Another weekend for Newcastle, and another big three points in the Premier League as they look to be heading towards a top ten finish.
It was the Brazilian show for the Magpies at Carrow Road, as both Joelinton (2) and Bruno Guimaraes scored the goals to ensure Newcastle’s fine run of form continues. Since Eddie Howe took over, things have turned around remarkably at the club, with the Magpies going from relegation contenders to a mid-table and above club.

Of course, a lot of Newcastle’s current success can be put down to their ventures into the transfer market in January.
PIF took over the club and pumped money in, while Howe got good professionals and the sparkle of magic in Guimaraes to turn his team around. And two key figures behind the takeover from PIF, Jamie Reuben and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, have both posted on Twitter following the win at Norwich today.
The pair are quickly becoming favourites of the Toon Army. And a lot of that comes down to the fact that they do take to social media and engage with the club’s supporters.
It’s pretty obvious both Ghodoussi and Reuben are loving life in the northeast. And why wouldn’t they? When results are so good at the moment.
TBR’s View: Newcastle Could Challenge Next Season
It might take a few more good signings in the same tier of quality as Bruno Guimaraes, but Newcastle could actually end up fighting for Europe next season.
Their form under Howe has been excellent and the Toon Army seem fully onboard with what’s happening at the club.
Today was another excellent performance. Yes, it’s against a Norwich team struggling and already down, but Newcastle are getting into a nice habit of winning.
