Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he does not believe that Mauricio Pochettino would be put off taking the Arsenal job because of his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Unai Emery continues to come under considerable pressure from the Gunners supporters. His side struggled to secure a draw against relegation-threatened Southampton at the weekend, meaning that they have not won any of their last six games in all competitions.

With Pochettino leaving Spurs last week, plenty of Arsenal supporters have debated whether they would be happy to see the Argentinian come in if Emery did leave the Emirates.
Redknapp suggested that it should be a no-brainer for Arsenal. And he added that he could see Pochettino making the controversial switch.

“If I was a decision maker at Arsenal, I’d go for Mauricio Pochettino in a heartbeat. I’m not sure I believe Poch would let his time with Tottenham stop him from taking over,” he told the Daily Mail.
“Maybe the reason Spurs decided to go for Jose Mourinho so suddenly was they felt they could not hang around, because their north London rivals might be searching for a new boss soon.
“Unai Emery is under big, big pressure. I have some sympathy for him but he looks a beaten man.”

In some ways, Arsenal appear to be in a similar boat to the one Tottenham were in when Pochettino arrived.
The Gunners have a lot of quality within their squad. They also have a number of seriously exciting young players. And they need a manager who can help the side realise their potential.
You could certainly understand why some Arsenal fans would suggest that Pochettino is perfect for them. His shadow certainly appears to have added on the weight on Emery’s shoulders.
