Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways last night against Crystal Palace, and Harry Kane was the star of the show.
Spurs needed a response at Selhurst Park after their terrible performance at home against Aston Villa on Boxing Day. They were absolutely shocking then, but Kane made sure there was no repeat of that result last night.
The Englishman scored a brace to help Antonio Conte’s side pick up an excellent 4-0 win.

Jamie Redknapp says Tottenham star Harry Kane was just incredible last night
Although the scoreline makes it look like Tottenham absolutely battered Palace, it was far from it.
The Eagles were the better side in the first half and should’ve been ahead. However, they blew their chances and that came back to haunt them after the break.
Kane took just three minutes to break the deadlock and he doubled that lead just five minutes later. Matt Doherty and Son Heung-min scored a goal each later in the game to seal a truly fantastic win for Conte’s side.
Jamie Redknapp analysed the game after full-time and he was blown away by Kane’s performance. He branded the Englishman as ‘incredible’ – not just for his goals, but for everything else he did in attack.
The pundit said on Sky Sports: “I’ve got to be honest, at half-time, I could never foresee that happening. They weren’t at it, they didn’t have that sharpness. And then in the second half, they just came into life.
“Graeme (Souness) said before the game: ‘When you have a player like Harry Kane, you’ve always got a chance.’ That just came to fruition there.
“He was just incredible. Not just his goals, his all-round play – he held it up, brought people into play, his touch was exquisite. It was a masterclass second half.
“His second goal is as good as it gets, I can’t wait to see it again. The touch and the finish is just sublime. We’ve seen him do it time and time again. He’s just an incredible player.”

TBR View:
We’ve said this many times over the years, but where would Tottenham be without Harry Kane?!
The Englishman is simply unstoppable on his day. He scores goals, links play up and creates chances for his teammates, and without him, we doubt Spurs would even be in the top seven.
Kane has entered the final 18 months of his contract now, and Tottenham have to sort his future out ASAP. He’s one of the best players in the world, and it’s only a matter of time before clubs start queueing up for his signature as he nears the final year of his deal.
It will be interesting to see what Kane will do at the end of this season. If Conte leaves and Spurs drop out of the top four, there is a real chance he will push for a move away, which would be absolutely disastrous for the North Londoners.
