Jamie Redknapp has praised Alexandre Lacazette for his battling qualities despite Arsenal struggling for form during the 2020/21 campaign.
The pundit was asked to rank the Gunners players as kidders of fighters in a column for the Daily Mail and had sympathy for the French striker.
Lacazette has fired five goals this season to take his tally during his time at Arsenal to 53 goals in 143 appearances.

He signed for the Gunners in the summer of 2017 for £46.5 million from Lyon and originally looked superb.
Lacazette has struggled to maintain his prolific standards and some speculation suggested he might leave last summer.
The striker stayed though and has been a regular in Mikel Arteta’s team this season.
A France international, he is paid £182,000-a-week by the Gunners and Redknapp has backed the talisman.
He told the Daily Mail: “The Frenchman never fails to put the effort in but has missed huge chances which could have swung the game back in the Gunners’ favour on many occasions this season.
“Player of the Season in 2018/19, the striker now looks devoid of confidence and even failed to celebrate levelling the scores with a header against Manchester City.
“He will have just a year left on his contract, and despite the criticism he receives, he never appears to hide and could well fight for this team if he rediscovers his shooting boots.”
TBR View – Lacazette can still do a job for struggling Arsenal
Some supporters might not agree but if utilised properly then Lacazette can still prove an asset to Arsenal.

The man with three goals in 16 appearances for France knows where the back of the net is and with the right support, he could thrive.
Lacazette is a confidence player and constantly criticising him won’t do him any good.
Arteta has placed his faith in him and if he could just have a bit more composure in front of goal he could bag himself even more goals.
